DEFINITION OF DESIGN GUIDES

We help the organizations to define and establish the critical UX principle for their business based on which they can create a design guide that guarantees the consistency of the applications and ensures a cohesive experience.

To have a consistent and updated design guide is essential for ensuring the coherence and cohesion of the applications developed in an organization for any device. MTP has its own methodology for the elaboration of design guides, consisting of the following stages:

  • Inspection:The objective of this stage is to understand the starting point of the organization, its context, available applications, guides and existing design methodologies, as well as the different areas involved.
  • Identification of UX factors: The Guide must be based on principles and conventions of usability and user experience. This means that it is necessary to make a strong effort in order to understand which are the principles that adequately reflect the organization’s general vision. The final aim of this stage is to identify a set of orderly and consistent principles that provide the general framework and the components of the guide, and to give innovative and consistent recommendations and solutions.

  • Design of components: Based on the defined UX factors, each one of the elements of the guide are identified and defined, together with their guidelines, visual display and interaction mode, as well as the set of representations and graphic elements that are created.

  • Development of components: Once the components are designed, the next step will be to develop each one of them with the purpose of facilitating the developers’ work when using them.

  • Generation of Design Guide: Both the defined UX factors and the design of the components, are stored in a web space that enables the easy access to those interested, their updating and maintenance, promoting the use of the best practices in UX.
