MTP brings together all TTCN-3 worldwide language experts for the first time in Madrid

  • The Spanish company MTP has been selected by the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) to organize this Conference for the first time in Spain.
  • Microsoft, Samsung, Siemens, Huawei, Telefónica I+D or Telelogic are some of the companies that have taken part in this conference from the 3rd to the 6th of June

11th of June 2008, Madrid - The annual TTCN-3 expert’s conference brought together, last week and for the first time in Madrid, over a hundred attendants from all over the world. MTP, lead Spanish software quality management firm, organized this edition of the TTCN – Users Conference. The TTCN-3 language is a standardized Testing Language on an international level.

TTCN-3 is a standardized language by the ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) that is used in industrial and investigation environments to automate test for validation of software systems. Companies like Renault, Daimler Chrysler, Ericsson, Motorola, among many others, already use this language. Also, the WiMAX Forum, has announced that, as of this year, it will begin to certify WiMAX products with TTCN-3.

As a novelty, in the VI edition of this congress 5 different topics have been in development: Investigation, Telecommunications, Embedded Systems, Test Engineering, and Internet Technology. Thru out reports, tutorials, practical cases and tool presentations, they have studied the use of this language in environments of application such as financial businesses, transport, telecommunications, industry, aeronautics or railway systems. Huawei, Microsoft, Samsung, Siemens or Telefonica I+D, have taken part in this Conference.

For Raquel Jiménez, in charge of TTCN-3 in MTP: "We are very glad with the results of the Conference and how well it has been received. It is an annual event that is organized each year in a different place and they are talking about the next edition taking place in Nice, but we can´t confirm this yet." This Conference has already been organized in Beijing by Huawei, in Berlin by Siemens and in Stockholm by Ericsson.
